Since moving to Quicken 2016 I receive regular updates and feature improvements. Now that Intuit has sold Quicken to an investor group the new leadership has announced its firm commitment to the OS X platform.

A lot of former Quicken users are bitter ( I was one of them) over the fact that Intuit all but abandoned Quicken for the Mac. Quicken 2016 has the vast majority of features from Quicken 2007 covered and is, in my opinion, a superior product. I thought I would never be able to move on from Quicken 2007 but Quicken 2016 changed my mind in a dramatic way. That being said I would respectfully suggest you investigate Quicken 2016 which is completely El Capitan compatible. Therefore you will need to purchase the latest version of Quicken 2007 that runs on Intel based Mac hardware. El Capitan will no longer run PPC based software, only Intel based software.

Your version of Quicken 2007 is probably the PPC (Power PC) version that is still supported under OX S 10.7 (Lion).
